Responsible Play

Prize competitions should stay affordable, controlled and enjoyable. They are not a way to earn income or recover money already spent.

18+ only. Paid participation is intended only for adults aged 18 or over who meet the competition eligibility rules.

1. Treat entries as entertainment

Only spend money you can comfortably afford to lose. A prize draw is uncertain by nature. Do not treat a possible prize as income, savings, an investment or a solution to financial pressure.

2. Set a personal budget before entering

Decide in advance what you can afford for a day, week or month and stop when you reach that figure. Do not increase your budget because you did not win, because a competition is nearly sold out or because you have seen someone else win.

3. Do not borrow to enter

Do not use rent, mortgage, bill, food or essential household money. Avoid borrowing, using credit you cannot clear comfortably or selling essential items in order to buy entries.

4. Avoid chasing losses

Buying more entries does not guarantee a win and a previous loss does not make a future win “due”. Each eligible ticket has the chance described by the competition and past outcomes do not promise a future result.

5. Take breaks

If entering stops feeling enjoyable, take a break. You can contact support to ask for account suspension or closure. During a requested suspension we should not use that period to encourage you to return through direct promotional contact.

6. Marketing choices

You can opt out of promotional email or other direct marketing at any time. Security, order, draw, prize and important account messages may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.

7. Spend limits

GiveawaysZone is working to align product controls with the 2026 Great Britain voluntary code for prize-draw operators, including meaningful customer spending limits and a cooling-off period before an increased limit takes effect. Until a self-service control is available in your account, contact support if you want us to restrict or suspend participation.

8. If you are worried about your behaviour

Stop entering and talk to someone you trust. Specialist UK services such as GamCare and NHS gambling-harms support can also provide confidential help even where the activity causing concern is a prize competition rather than licensed gambling.

9. Parents and shared devices

Keep login and payment details away from children and do not allow anyone under the minimum age to use your account. If you think an underage person has entered using your details, contact us promptly.
